Adventures in Preservation has been putting people and preservation together since 2002. Our volunteers have replastered, repointed, repaired and restored elements of historic buildings in the United States, Mexico, Ghana, Italy, Slovenia, Albania and more.

Volunteer with AiP and you’ll do even more than protect the past. You’ll build communities, restore housing, and promote economic sustainability, all through the ecologically sustainable approach of historic preservation. You’ll also learn how to work with historic materials, discover different cultures, and increase your awareness of the value of preserving architectural and cultural heritage.

Historic preservation involves much more than saving and restoring the buildings themselves. Preservation generates economic, social, cultural, environmental, and educational benefits to communities throughout the world, which AiP volunteers witness first hand. For a very eloquent answer to the question, “Why Preservation?” see this page from the Historic Hawai’i Foundation.

Put your hands on history – you’ll be glad you did!
